Terms and Conditions

Customers must read the DIY Autoworks terms, including the Terms & Conditions of Hire, and sign the Terms of Hire waiver before their booking commences. Additionally, customers must complete a workshop induction prior to the start of their booking. It is the customer responsibilities to ensure they have their own health insurance coverage. Customers acknowledge and consent to the understanding that DIY Autoworks will not be responsible or liable for any injuries sustained while using the shop's facilities, tools, and equipment for automotive repair and maintenance work. DIY Autoworks does not instruct customers on repairs or perform work on their vehicles, thus, DIY Autoworks is not responsible for any work customers conduct on their vehicles. Vehicles must be removed by the customer at the end of the booking, regardless of whether the repair or work on the vehicle is complete. If your vehicle cannot be removed at the conclusion of your booking, a booking extension may be negotiated with DIY Autoworks staff based on availability and at the standard hire rate. If necessary and conditional on availability, you can leave your vehicle at our unit overnight, and you will be charged the standard hire rate from the opening time of the following day until the vehicle is removed. Customers' vehicles must not be stored in the car park or driveways of DIY Autoworks premises. Any vehicles that are not removed from the DIY Autoworks premises at the conclusion of a booking risk being towed at the customer's expense. For multiple consecutive day bookings, customers may leave their vehicle in the service bay overnight free of charge. Credit card details are required at the time of booking to secure the reservation. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your booking will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the booking cost, while cancellations with more than 48 hours' notice will not incur any charge. All customers must be over 18 years old and must present their driver’s licence upon arrival at the workshop. Open-toed shoes will NOT be allowed in the workshop at any time. DIY Autoworks reserves the right to refuse entry if customers are not appropriately attired. If entry is refused due to inappropriate footwear, the full booking fee will still apply. Customers will have the opportunity to return with the correct footwear if their booking allows it. When performing work and using the equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE) should always be worn in the service area. Spills of any kind must be reported to DIY Autoworks staff IMMEDIATELY. Smoking is PROHIBITED within the workshop at all times, and drugs or alcohol are not allowed, including being under the influence of such substances. DIY Autoworks reserves the right to refuse entry if a customer appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No pets are allowed in the workshop at any time. Food and beverages are permitted in the workshop as long as they are contained in covered, non-breakable containers. Customers must clean up any waste or residue from their food or beverage. All fluids and garbage must be disposed of strictly in designated bins. Customers are allowed to move vehicles into, out of, or within the workshop ONLY under the instruction of DIY Autoworks staff. Only DIY Autoworks staff are authorized to place and remove vehicles from automotive lifts. Customers are NOT permitted to reposition the lift arms once the vehicle has been placed on them. Customers must inform DIY Autoworks staff about any personal tools they bring into the workshop, as DIY Autoworks will not be held liable for any loss or damage to or by personal tools on their premises. Customers will take full responsibility for all tools and equipment provided in the workshop, and all tools and equipment must be cleaned and returned in the same condition as they were provided. For your beloved car and your safety, please use the right tool for the right job. DO NOT ABUSE OR MISUSE tools and equipment. If any DIY Autoworks tools or equipment are lost, broken, stolen, or damaged, they will be repaired or replaced at the customer’s expense. If you are unsure about anything, PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU START! Please remain calm while you do your work. DIY Autoworks staff reserve the right to refuse service or terminate your bay rental if customers' behaviours pose a risk, danger, or offence to themselves or others. The customer must notify the on-site workshop supervisor as soon as possible if they need extra time to complete their vehicle repairs. Bookings may be extended subject to availability. Customers are responsible for complying with all Rules and Safety Policies included in this Agreement or otherwise posted by DIY Autoworks. Customers are also responsible for ensuring that all persons accompanying them onto the premises and into DIY Autoworks comply with all Rules and Procedures. DIY Autoworks reserves the right to modify or amend these Rules and Safety Policies at any time. Any person not complying with the Rules and Procedures may be asked to leave the premises, and the customer will forfeit payment for all remaining reserved time.
